Fires, Dark Knight, and Great Neck.

So last Sunday I woke up to my mom telling me to get out of the house. That's wonderful. So I get out of the house, and I find the entire second floor trapped in a closure of smoke. Equally wonderful. Help arrives and I stand in the middle of the road like a loser with my dog until my dad arrived. Cool.

Some 6 hours later they (the police) tell us to:
-Find some alternate form of shelter
-Get some flashlights for retrieving insurance papers inside of the house

So we do.

I really had nothing to do there anymore, so I arranged to stay at Rebecca's house for the night. They really nice about it. She had a bootlegged version of Ironman, so we watched that. Then I let it slip that I had a sudden craving of fast food, so Rebecca had her older sister take us to Burger King. In 2 AM. Sorry Esther.

I spent the next few days doing nothing. It was boring, sitting outside of my house while public adusters came in and out. I passed the time by playing nonstop Mario Kart Ds. It was terrible, but I've gotten quite good at pwning races with Yoshi.

and then, my friends answered my pleas for help and on Friday I went to Roosevelt Field Mall. I also needed to get some new clothes, as the dratty insurance company took my entire closet to dry cleaning, not to be returned until the following week. I had a lot more money than I usually did (yay for insurance.) and so I got some new skinny jeans. whee.

and then we watched Dark Knight. Oh. Mai. Gawd. Dark Knight. That movie was the pwn. I MEAN IT. It was a bit long, but they weren't joking when they said that Heath Ledger owned Joker. BRuce Wayne's house is awesome, and Bruce himself was the perfect blend of charisma, stupid, and tough. Haha. Harvey Dent. I feel sorry for those who read the comics. Entire movie spoiled. HARVEY DENT? HARVEY TWO-FACE? HMMMMM.

Well now my family and I are staying in a house in Great Neck. My dad sepcifically requested Chinese food, and because Great Neck is full of rich caucasian people who go to restaurants every night, we had to go all the way back to Queens to find a fucking Chinese restaraunt.
